You have the right to receive your education in the United States, and there are types of student visas offered depending on the intent of the student.

F-1 Student Visa

The most common student visa is known as the F-1 visa, which is issued if the intent is to study or conduct research at an accredited U.S. education institution of any level. There is a specific time given to stay in the U.S. for studies, but as long as you are enrolled in some sort of academic institution you still quality for the F-1 visa. 

J-1 Student Visa

If you a student were to participate in an exchange visitor program to promote their culture to the U.S., would qualify for a J-1 student visa. This student must be proficient in the english language, and also have legitimate medical insurance.

M-1 Student Visa

There are full courses of study available that are not offered by an academic institution and if a student were to pursue this type of education then they can quality for a M-1 student visa. Applicants for this form of visa may need to meet more requirements to be accepted, and will only be allowed for a fixed time.
